The Institute which is spread over ten acres of land is in harmony with nature and abounds in greenery, water, farms, plantations and various birds and animals. The late Rathnavarma Heggade, then Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, started this institute in 1973 to impart knowledge about agriculture and dairy farming to poor students . They also had to undergo formal education"
